The Athletics Department of the Trails Recreation Center/Arapahoe Park and Recreation District is seeking qualified Instructors to assist in specific areas. These areas include:
Volleyball (Youth) Basketball (Youth) Climbing Tower (Youth and Adult) Gymnastics (Youth)
Essential Functions:
-Create daily lesson plans for specific programs -Provide positive customer service to participants -Provide a safe, learning experience to participants -Assist in the development of end-of-program evaluation form -Handle participant issues, problems and concerns professionally -Set up and tear down necessary equipment before and after program -Comply with Arapahoe Park and Recreation District/Trails Recreation Center rules and regulations, policies and procedures -Perform other duties assigned by Athletics Supervisor
Qualifications:
-At least 18 years of age for youth programs (21 for adult), possess a valid CO Driver’s License, and physically able to handle athletic equipment used in set-ups and tear-downs -Extensive experience and understands the rules and techniques in specific area -CPR/First Aid certified or ability to obtain within 90 days
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to talk and/or hear language from patrons, managers, or groups of people and ability to see objects closely and at a distance; ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, reach, climb and stoop or kneel; ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted. The noise level is moderate to high; water and humid conditions exist. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends is required.
