The
Arapahoe
Park and Recreation District is seeking an
enthusiastic, creative and team oriented individual
to serve as the Fitness and Wellness Supervisor for
the
Trails
Recreation
Center.
The
Fitness and Wellness Supervisor will be responsible
for the successful day to day operation of the
District’s Fitness and Wellness programs and
Supervision of Fitness/Wellness department personnel
for the Trails
Recreation
Center.
This individual must have
knowledge of practices and techniques of recreation
program administration and fiscal management;
ability to communicate effectively both verbally and
in writing; plan, promote and supervise fitness
programs for all ages and levels of ability; train,
supervise, lead and evaluate staff; establish and
maintain professional working relationships with
other District personnel, general public, vendors,
contractual personnel and representatives of other
governmental agencies; must have excellent internal
and external customer service skills, be a team
player and maintain a positive attitude.
Bachelor degree in Exercise Science, Health
Education, Sport Science or a closely related field
and a minimum of 2 years experience in fitness and
wellness programming; however, an equivalent
combination of education and experience will be
considered.
Two (2) years
experience in a leadership or supervisory position
required.
Strong
administrative, organizational and communication
skills are essential; staff supervision required.
Hiring Range is $35,432 - $49,605 DOQ, plus a
complete benefits package including health, medical,
dental, vision, life and a pension plan.
