The Arapahoe Park and Recreation District is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Accounting Manager for the
park district and the Trails Recreation Center.
This individual will be responsible for
park district and the Trails Recreation Center accounting functions, including, but not limited to, monitoring receipt of all recreation facility and program income,
some payroll administration, accounts payable/receivable processing, accurate financial transaction posting, financial reporting,
budget to actual reporting and financial statement preparation.
This individual must have
a thorough knowledge of accounting theory, concepts and practices applicable to accounting requirements of government agencies; thorough knowledge of accounting guidelines and procedures of Colorado Revised Code, State Auditor and generally accepted accounting practices; strong mathematical and analytical skills for monitoring records and resolving accounting problems. Must have strong computer, organizational and internal and external customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minimum of two (2) years governmental/fund accounting experience including areas of payroll/benefits administration and maintenance and accounts receivable and payable. Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting Software a plus.
Hiring Range is $45,000 - $55,000 depending on qualifications, plus a complete benefits package including health, medical, dental, vision, life and a pension plan. Interested applicants submit their resumes to the Arapahoe Park and Recreation District, Attention:
